I tutor IB Maths for students at the international schools of Rome, online and one to one, in the same time zone as your school day. Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, Higher or Standard Level: we start from your child's last test or mock, find where the marks are going, and work on that.
What we work on
The full AA and AI syllabus, with most of the time where IB students in Rome lose the most marks: calculus and functions on the non-calculator paper, probability and statistics, and the long questions of Paper 2 and, at HL, Paper 3. The mathematical exploration is planned early, so it is not written in the weeks of the mocks.

Predicted grades are decided at school
Most IB students in Rome apply to universities in the UK, the Netherlands or on English-taught courses in Italy, and those offers hang on predicted grades written months before May. So the calendar that matters is your school's mock calendar, and the plan is built backwards from it.

How much do lessons cost?
From €640 per month for families in Rome: eight one-to-one lessons a month, two a week, the same for every student, subject and format. Nothing longer than the month is required, and the first 20-minute assessment session carries no charge and no commitment.
Are the lessons in person in Rome?
No, for Rome they are online, one to one, on a shared whiteboard your child writes on too. Same time zone, so lessons fit after school, and there is no travel across the city. The whole board is sent over after every lesson.
Which schools in Rome do your students come from?
The IB Diploma schools of Rome: St. Stephen's, St. George's, Rome International School, Marymount and AOSR. Each has its own mock calendar and its own way of setting predicted grades, and the plan follows your school's dates, not a generic one. The schools page has a sheet for each of them.
In what language do you teach?
English, Italian, or both in the same lesson. Useful for students who think in Italian and sit the exam in English.
