International Schools in Rome
Rome has six schools that teach Maths and Physics in a language other than Italian and examine them on an international board: the IB Diploma, Cambridge IGCSE, American AP courses and the French Baccalauréat. Where I come in
The board your school actually sits
IB Maths AA and AI, IB Physics HL and SL, Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE, AP Calculus and AP Physics, French spécialité mathématiques and physique-chimie. Past papers and mark schemes of that exam, not generic exercises.
Coursework that carries real marks
The IB Internal Assessment in Maths and Physics, the Extended Essay in a science, AP lab work, the Grand oral. Structure, method and the criteria the examiner ticks: the student writes it, we plan it together.
Predicted grades and university
Mocks decide the predicted grade, and the predicted grade decides the offer. We work backwards from the target (UCAS, US applications, Parcoursup, or an Italian degree with the diploma equivalence) and rebuild the marks that are missing.
How lessons work in Rome
Lessons are one-to-one and online, on a shared whiteboard, so a family in Parioli, on the Cassia or on the Aventine books the same slot without crossing the city at 6pm on a school day. Everything is written during the lesson and sent afterwards, so nothing depends on the notes a tired student managed to take. The teaching is mine, always: no rotating tutors, no first lesson spent explaining who you are again.
