I am a physicist with a PhD, a former researcher in astroparticle physics, and I tutor IB Physics for students at the international schools of Rome, online and one to one. Higher or Standard Level: we start from the last test or mock, find the ideas that have not landed, and rebuild them until your child can use them on a question they have never seen.
What we work on
The current syllabus, themes A to E, with most of the time on what costs marks in the exam: fields and electromagnetic induction, energy and the particulate nature of matter and, at HL, thermodynamics and quantum physics; data-based questions; and explaining an answer in words, which is where many strong students lose points.

Questions
How much do lessons cost?
From €640 per month for families in Rome: eight one-to-one lessons a month, two a week, the same for every student, subject and format. Nothing longer than the month is required, and the first 20-minute assessment session carries no charge and no commitment.
Are the lessons in person in Rome?
No, for Rome they are online, one to one, on a shared whiteboard your child writes on too. Same time zone, so lessons fit after school, and there is no travel across the city. The whole board is sent over after every lesson.
Which schools in Rome do your students come from?
The IB Diploma schools of Rome: St. Stephen's, St. George's, Rome International School, Marymount and AOSR. Each has its own mock calendar and its own way of setting predicted grades, and the plan follows your school's dates, not a generic one. The schools page has a sheet for each of them.
In what language do you teach?
English, Italian, or both in the same lesson. Useful for students who think in Italian and sit the exam in English.
