About Bilingual European School Milan

The Bilingual European School (BES) is a Milan school built around a genuinely bilingual Italian–English education, where subjects are taught in both languages from the early years through to secondary school. At secondary level, students follow an international pathway that includes Cambridge IGCSE qualifications, giving families a curriculum that keeps doors open to both the Italian system and English-medium universities abroad. Its community is a mix of Italian, bilingual and international families who want their children fluent in two languages without giving up academic rigour in Maths and Science.

IGCSE Maths and Physics support

IGCSE Maths and Physics reward precise method and consistent exam technique — exactly where bilingual students sometimes lose marks, not because the physics is hard but because a step is skipped or the question is misread under time pressure. I work one-to-one with BES students on the Cambridge Maths (0580/0606) and Physics (0625) syllabuses: securing the core theory, then heavy practice on past-paper questions with feedback on the marks that are easy to drop. For students moving towards A-Level or IB, we also build the algebra and problem-solving foundations those courses assume.

How the sessions work

Lessons are online and one-to-one, built around the student's own syllabus, school assessments and past papers. Because BES is bilingual, sessions can run in English or Italian, whichever helps the concept land. We start with a free assessment to pinpoint the real gaps, then follow a clear plan and track progress with short notes to parents. The aim is simple: turn a solid grade into an excellent one and build the confidence to walk into the exam knowing exactly what to do.
